I woke up next to the pool
My eyes widened
Ashley and Kyle were still sitting in the hottub
I was on my towel.
I looked at my watch:
It was only 11:35. I had been asleep for 5 minutes. But how? That couldn't have been a dream?
I remembered the ring that was placed on my finger only moments before.
I looked at my fingers. The ring was still there.
I got up and ran to the hottub.
Ashley smiled.
"Have a good 5 minute sleep?" she said giggling
"Why yes..I had the most peculiar dream"
She stared at me wierdly
I jumped out of the tub leaving Ash and Kyle to do whatever. I ran upstairs. I had a sudden hunger. I walked out of my room and then i saw him.
Jayden was walking silently in the hall. No taylor.
No nothing just him.
He stopped me.
"Hey uhh shane.."
"Hey Jayden, What's up?"
He looked down
"I just broke up with Taylor..."
He looked back up
"I am so sorry to here that jayden"
"Which is why i came to do this" He said with a curious voice.
He Kissed me.
"Jayden....But..you broke up with me.."
"I can't live without you Shane, you are the true princess.."
I smiled.
"Wanna get a iced cap with me?"
He smirked
"Sure, Why not" I added.
We walked away hand in hand
And whatever happened that day was a mystery..
And who knows...maybe it wasn't a dream...

We got to shore and i looked at him.
He was funny and sweet but...I couldn't believe it.
A MERMAID? no wait...A MERMAN???!!!?
I didn't care what he was...he was amazing..
"Jake," I turned to him
"Uhh, yes...shane"
"Jake, i won't keep this from you, I know i just met you but, I love you... And i know it.."
"No! Shane, I am a merman, you can never love me and i can never be with you.
I may love you but we can never be together....."
My heart broke. He was the one, I just had to convince him.
"Jake...I - I -"
I knew what i had to do then and there.
I leaned in and kisses his lips.
He held me tight and didn't let go.
Finnaly he pushed me back.
"Shane, I.............."
He was speechless. I liked Jake and I was sure he liked me.
"Shane I do love you but you know we can never ever be together"
I sighed
"I know...but can i become a mermaid?"
He smirked.
"No Shane...it is physically impossible"
I looked down as a tear dropped from my eye.
"Shane...don't cry" He told me in a soft voice.
Then as if it was magic he kissed me.
I felt like forever my life was here. Never anyone else but me and Jake.
I pulled my arms around him.
He pushed me back,
"Shane...I have something for you..."
He passed me a silver ring that said FOREVER on it.
"What...is this?"
I wondered.
"A ring to remember me by. I will remember you shane..."
He smiled.
"But-"
He cut me off.
"Look at the time shane, we better sleep..it's getting late"
I looked at my watch. He was right. It was 10:45 and i was exhausted. I quickly threw the ring on my finger and lied down next to him.
"Goodnight shane...always remember me"
He said in his softest tone
I ran my fingers through his hair
"Goodnight Jake...you'll always be my merman..."
He smiled.
I shut my eyes and went to sleep smiling

I opened my eyes. There was a boy holding on to me. He was swimming and bringing me to shore.
"Hello" He whispered. He pulled me closer.
"I'm Jordan.. but most people call me jake I am sure you are frightened but please wait till we arrive on land.
I was confused. I stared at the pain coming from my arm. It was rapped in a bandage. I was so confused.
"But, how'd you save me? I was drowning? were you the guy who pulled me up?"
He didn't answer.
"Shane, Don't worry your group will come get you tomorrow...trust me"
He thrusted his body and started swimming
I held on to him in a hugging position. I wasn't worried for some reason.
I looked at the water and saw something dark moving.
"What..is that?" I stared at the glimmering darkness under the dirty water.
He brought it up.
"I know you'll be scared by this but...that's my tail"
My eyes widened.
"I am a merman, I can desguise my tale as legs for a period of time, but i must get water"
I seemed okay with that. But how was that possible.
"Jordan, oh sorry...Jake, you're beautiful"
He smiled.
"You are so calm, how?" He said curiosly
I smiled
"I don't know"
I knew why. I had this grave feeling come over me wen i met jayden. The EXACT same feeling. I was in love with a merman.

"Shane!" I heard a familiar voice
"Carter! Wake up" It was a boys voice
I opened my eyes to see Kyle and Ashley infront of me
"Shane, you slept, it is like 12:00 now..." Ashley announced
I was happy. No more watching Jayden and Taylor kiss. Ashley helped me up and me and her ran to the room to change. I threw on my Baby Boy Shorts and Black Tank top. On top of that i put my favorite cardigan from american apparel. I walked down with Ashley and we sat and ate our lunch. "Ashley, are you and Kyle like an item now?" I looked at her. She smirked
"Oh..yeah.....we're dating!"
I was shocked
We were given Pizza. Ofcourse Jayden sat with Taylor. They laughed all of lunch. They even fed eachother Lunch! I was annoyed. Then Mrs. Leer came in:
"Children, after this we are going to take a boat ride through the revignes of the rain forests. We are going in a 40 M. Rowing boat...So where you running shoes! NO FLIPFLOPS!" I looked at my flip flops and rolled my eyes. She continued."And don't forget to bring a rain jacket!" We all rolled our eyes and were sent upstairs to get ready. I threw on my red raincoat and Black nike airs. We walked to the docks. We had to go to the back of the boat. I sat as they loaded person by person onto the boat. Ashley sat in front of me. Kyle sat infront of her. Josh Abrams sat behind me. He was such a dork! Mrs. Leer yelled: "Alright everyone...time for a ride! let's go!" We all started to paddle. after a minute my arms started to hurt. I was so weak. Why was i even trying. The waves were getting pretty big and our wooden boat was moving alot. Mrs. Leer yelled from the front: "Children i think we need to head back... The waves are -" Then the boat bumos up and i fell out. I squirmed because i could barely swim. someone finaly noticed i fell out but it was too late, they were too far away. I was about to die...or so i felt...until someone grabbed my arm and pulled me up to the surface.

I sat down in the pool on the steps. It was a big pool. I looked at Ashley flirting with Kyle, I looked at Kyle flirting with Ashley, They were a cute couple I had to admit. Then the worst thing happened. Jayden and Taylor walked in. Jayden had a pink lipstick mark on his lip but it was hard to see. I knew he'd been making out with her alot. She was wearing a TAKEN bathing suit. He was wearing my favorite bathing suit on him, a red bathing suit with stars on it. he looked amazing. I just wanted to kiss him again. I quickly looked back over at ashley but she was still in the hottub, now kissing kyle. The 3 other boys had left them alone. She was smilling and sitting on his lap. I quickly swam to the other side of the pool. I decided to tan. I layed down facing Jayden and Taylor. They were in the pool swimming and having fun. I closed my eyes and pulled my IPhone out. Text time

I never told her what was really happening...
I was to tired to think of anything... I closed my eyes.

I quickly got off the bus. We got our Rooms and roomates. Uch, I was put with Taylor Armani, Jayden's Girfriend..i was also put with Ashley. Me and Ashley checked in first and ran to our room. We unpacked and threw our batrhing suit on. She wore a pink bikini with a SMILE on the back. I wore a plain dark blue bikini. I quickly looked around noticing what was in my room. 3 Beds, 1 pullout couch, 2 Mini fridges, 2 washrooms and a stairway to the pool.
Me and Ashley ran down together. We smiled at the 4 boys already there. I glanced at my watch. It was 11:30. We were allowed to do anything in the hotel until lunch. Lunch was at 12:30. She smirked and pointed to Kyle sitting in the hottub.
She whispered me something but i didn't hear.
She ran over and once again i was left alone.
I just wanted someone to love me again/
